The 2021 Jamb runs each year in the centre of Devon and is the world’s largest sailing event. For those not familiar with the term, Jamb is an English phrase which describe a race that begins in the channel at Woolacombe, goes through Jambau, and then through Nant Gwernol in Woolacombe to Nant Gwernol. Each year the ships, yachts and other watercraft all leave from Woolacombe and head for Nant Gwernol where they complete their race. On exiting Jambau, there is a short cut to Nant Gwernol where the ships tie up and the race continues on to Woolacombe where it is steam powered for the remaining two weeks. Jamb runs every December.

While there are no life guards on board the Jamb, life vests will be provided for those crew members who will be on board the boat.
